This is a tale of two lakes. Intertwined lakes, in Barry County, Michigan. Where somehow the water has gone away. Upper and Lower Crooked Lakes, both near and dear to me, are suffering from the lowest water levels I've seen in the 35+ years I've been fishing them.

First of all thank you fellow friends and members for the show. The water visability was very poor, almost 2 feet. All in all most caught fish but the fishing really stunk. Still it was fun talking to everyone and that part was SUPER. Next time we'll pick a better location but for the first it was a easy walk, parking was great and we shook alot of hands with so many meeting each other for the first time and that gentlemen is priceless.

PART 2.
Most left for better fishing grounds over by Geno's about 12:30. And the report was not much better.
RipNLips (Andrew) showed up right after they left and while I was waiting for djkimmel, Cast n Blast said hey Rip can we go to your holy ground. He said sure. YOU NEVER SEEN h2o MOVE SO FAST BREAKING DOWN THE SHANTY!!! Broke it down got it loaded and djkimmel shows up. We zip over to rips and started a fishing adventure second to none. It was non- stop action and I mean non stop action from the time we got there till we stopped putting waxies on our hooks. Mostly all BlueGills, and SunFish, but one perch found my hook. I finally said to the boys. This has not happened in a lonngggg lonngggg time but guys I'm fished out. But fish as long as you want.
Cast n Blast said well I'm going to call it @ 50... I said come on bro it's happening so he changed it to 100 and left. We continued the slaming for awhile when I said what I said. We caught at least 300 if you ask me.

Again just goes to show you LOCATION is everything in fishing. I even caught one on a the bare jig I was using. (no bait)

Andrew thanks for turning a poor fishing day into a excellent one. You know your my best bud now. lol

h2o<--says thanks guys for the $'s left in the can on the tip up gamble. You got class.

Maybe Dan or Skip can add the picture what I have are to large.
BE HAPPY TO BE PART OF ALL YOU SEE

I'm working on some pictures... what an afternoon of ice fishing. Talk about spoiling me after not ice fishing for a number of years to come back to the panfish SLAM!! So many quality gills too including a number huge gills near master angler class - all I can say is WOW!!! And thanks for the wonderful fishing trip guys!! :)

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.
