Move went fine. The new server is much faster. Which is good!

I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

Yesterday at the Natural Resources Commission meeting in Lansing, science prevailed thanks to many, many persons who took the time to write in, and especially those who showed up to speak before the Commission on Commissioner Walters’ amendment to close bass fishing on the Inland Waterway and Black Lake from May 1 until the third Saturday in June.

What to buy some Open face Fishing reels for family. Can anyone recommend anything that performs near or close to a Stradic 2500 open reel for under $100 ?

What about under $75. Need to buy a few.

Thanks in advance !!!  ;D ;D
Thanks Dan for bringing year round Catch and Release to Michigan

Try the Pflueger President spinning reels. I've been using them for a couple years. 10 bearing system and very smooth.

Durand Dan

I bought one one of the Presidents this year because I needed to add a spinning setup for skipping. I've been surprized at the quality of such an inexpensive reel. I even put that cheap Shakespere line on it and it performed great!! ;D

Waterfoul

I agree with the President.  BUT!!!  Save $10 a piece on them and go to Gander Mountain and by their Tournament GT series reels instead.  They are a Phlueger President made for Gander.  Only difference is the color and the handle.  The Phlueger has a wooden handle, the Gander a rubber handle, which I prefer anyway!!

President = $59
Gander reel = $49

So if you need to buy several you'll save $10 a reel!!  I have 2 of the Gander reels and they have worked flawlessly for me... and I fish a LOT.  Also, you can't beat the warrantee on a Gander product.  If you have any issues with the any of their reels, simply take it back and get a new one.  Easy.
Addicted to fishing.  All the time, any species, anywhere!!  Especially in West Michigan!!!
