wasn't planning on going to the show but with a free ticket from Wayne was able to get in after finally finding a parking space beside Plaza Hotel.

First place i headed was to the Hawg Trough and caught some of Wayne's seminar and then looked for Bob and Al's place. Got to meet Dan Hatchew and get some tips on football jigs and also was able to score on the buy 4 and get one free.Dan gave me an awesome 2K hat to go with my finesse football jigs.Good guy and not so high and mighty like some "pros" are.

was going by later and looked in their bargain bin and the had some ledge busters and some head buster marked down and also some jigs with the freak head with the screw on for plastic trailers. by then it was time to go home ;) now i can't wait till i get my boat home from storage. overall a good day

I enjoyed talking to Cy, McCarter, Jeff Elliott, Josh Clark, and a few of the other guys there more than the actual shopping.  I did buy a few jigs from Nemesis while there, and a Detroit Buck Club hat, but that was all for the purchases.  Making solid connections and giving guys a chance to talk instead of pitch was probably a welcome change for them.  Man Karol, that screw lock on the jig sounds awfully familiar, like I've seen it up a skirt before...

The Freak Nasty is what you found in the bargain bin.  And Dan's a good guy because he ISN'T a pro, and he'd be the first to tell you that.  He's just a down to earth business man who happens to fish and make great jigs!
Addicted to fishing.  All the time, any species, anywhere!!  Especially in West Michigan!!!
