I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

Possibly contact Folds of Honor (www.foldsofhonor.org) or BIAMI (http://www.biami.org/brain-injury-veterans-michigan.htm)? There are others that I may recall later today.

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.

BIAMI Is a great organization that my family is a huge part of I am sure that they would be very appreciative of any donations.  If you would like I can get a hold of the Chair and get some info for you.  Brain Injury Association is also the same group that Chad Pipkens auctions off a fishing trip every year in their silent auction if anyone is interested in more info about BIAMI you can always contact me at jeff@bassfederation.com

Just an FYI for everyone, but effective October 31, 2014 the Brain Injury Association of Michigan (BIAMI) had to let Maj. Rick Briggs go due to a lack of funding.  Their veterans program had been funded by a grant that was unable to be renewed.  I work in the brain injury rehabilitation field, so I have reached out to the BIAMI and offered any assistance they might need to ensure that the Tips Up for Troops and Tight Line for Troops events keep going.  I received word that they will be continuing some veteran programing through BIAMI, but will not have a Veterans Service Coordinator like they did with Maj Briggs.
I will try to get a hold of Maj Briggs today and see if his other group "Camp Liberty" is accepting fishing tackle donations.  If they are, I will post it here as well as offer to collect it and deliver it to them.

I received an email back from Major Briggs last night.  He said that Camp Liberty would love to have any and all tackle donations.  If you have tackle to donate, please message me here and I will either arrange to pick it up for you or give you the address where it can be shipped.  Thank you Capt. Charlie.  This is a great idea for extra/unused tackle.

got to love rick, I emailed him also, but he to has memory problems so you have to constantly remind him.  guys thanks for the other great suggestions, I'll contact those web sites also.   I'll also try to get a hold of Rick to see if Camp Liberty has a storage area available at this time for any equipment we collect.   Sounds like we'll need to have a gathering of those with tackle to donate, separate and box according to type.....line, crank baits, top waters, etc etc....stay tuned.
