Move went fine. The new server is much faster. Which is good!

I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

Yesterday at the Natural Resources Commission meeting in Lansing, science prevailed thanks to many, many persons who took the time to write in, and especially those who showed up to speak before the Commission on Commissioner Walters’ amendment to close bass fishing on the Inland Waterway and Black Lake from May 1 until the third Saturday in June.

Don't read too much into this, but I sat down after watching  Kai. It wasn't his story but who he is, and how he ' is'. Say what you will, but the world needs more folks like Kai. Respect.

His first time in front of a world audience, he starts with this: " I just wanna say first that no matter what you done, you deserve respect... even if you make mistakes - you lovable. And it doesn't matter what you're looks, skills, age, or size or anything - you're worthwhile. Noone can take that away from you ".............

My question to you, is, if you met Jesus on the street, what would he say to you, and what would you say back ? would you dismiss his far out thinking, or would you embrace it ?

Thought starter conversation, for deeper thinking. No jokers on this thread please.
Thanks Dan for bringing year round Catch and Release to Michigan

I am not familiar with 'Kai' - who or what is that?

I would think he's ralking about
Kai, the hatchet wielding hitchhiker that's youtube

djkimmel

I agree with his comments above about people but I don't ever pick up hitchhikers. I definitely would not pick up any with a hatchet...? Or a sword, knife, large stick or any other potential weapon.

I do think people should be nice to each other even if they don't pick up hitchhikers. As Brother Dave always said, 'a stranger is just a friend you haven't yet met.' I like that.

Dan,

You'll need to catch up on current events
You can catch up on youtube

In this story
Kia was the hero

djkimmel

I don't need to know ALL 'current events' - so many events, only so much time. I pick and choose. Too many videos on Youtube for me to catch only a tiny fraction of the ones most important to me, and my goals and purposes. Thanks for the information though.

Dan,  you may not need to be current, but you will get a laugh out of this Kai, character.  I heard him tell his story on Leno, and I LOL.  I mean this guy is not qualified to work at Taco Bell, but was thrust into stardom, when he killed a guy with a hatchet, in defense of another person.  It is worth checking it out, for a good laugh.

Mojo

True - true -- except he didnt kill the guy, just hospitalized him. his subsequent 'exclusive' interviews are so interesting. you can learn from anyone.

I do try to look for 1 or 2 new 'interesting' people a week to learn from. I don't always reach my goal. I have been entertained and educated lately by Kid President. Maybe I will get to Kai eventually... but there are a lot of 'interesting' people in the world, and again, only so much time. I do get a kick out of John Candy in Uncle Buck with his hatchet. I think I have watched that movie a 150 times!

'You aren't a gnat are you Bug? Wait a minute... gnat. Bug...'

Love that movie...watched it several dozen times at my college dorm.

"Here is a quarter, go down town and find yourself a rat, to knaw that thing off of your face!"

"Do you think I will have any trouble cashing a third party, out of state, pay check?"
