I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

Roy Randolph brought this to my attention. I'm not into country music, but it's a pretty entertaining song that says it all about the life of a bass tournament angler... I'm just pleased that someone made a song about the sport so many of us love. The Bass Tournament Song is from a CD of fishing songs.

You can listen to the song on Roy's web site: http://www.fishingpixels.com/fishsong1.html

If you want to check out the whole CD with all the fishin' songs, it's available at BPS - check out here for more info and a link to the product:

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.

Another great collection of fishing songs (It's a 4 CD disc set) that I have used with my iMovie projects is "Papa Was A Fishin Man," World's Greatest Fishing Band. Here's a site that reviews and sells the discs: http://countrymusic.about.com/cs/productreviews/gr/blfishingband.htm
I recommend it highly. If anybody gets bored over the winter let me know and I'll send you a copy of a DVD I made of video clips of tournaments from a couple years ago, 2003. It's about an hour long and has quite a few of the aforementioned songs on it. It features our Tear Drop Bass events and video of the BASS Federation Classic Series tournaments from that year.

Guide Review - Papa Was a Fishing Man - World's Greatest Fishing Band

I just couldn't pass up a disc that came recommended by so many illustrious names, such as Willie Nelson, Ralph Emery, Billy Joe Shaver, and Billy Bob Thornton. I was glad I took the plunge, so to speak. Turns out the "World's Greatest Fishing Band" isn't just hubris. They may be one of the world's best bands, period.
Every song on this four-disc set is an original, written by band mates Gary Shiebler and Larry Robinson. And while they're all about fishing, that doesn't stop them from being truly excellent songs. From fun ditties like "When Tammy Does the Shimmy At The Fish Fry" to gentle ballads like "Stay With The River," this band does it all, and they shine while doing it.

This is one of the more enjoyable releases I've listened to all year. Shiebler's singing is superb, and he's backed by some truly excellent musicians. Whether you like to fish or not, you're going to really enjoy this collection of songs. They're fun, sometimes poignant, and always good.
"Not in the clamor of the crowded streets nor in the shouts and plaudits of the throng, but within oneself lies victory or defeat."
