Move went fine. The new server is much faster. Which is good!

I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

Yesterday at the Natural Resources Commission meeting in Lansing, science prevailed thanks to many, many persons who took the time to write in, and especially those who showed up to speak before the Commission on Commissioner Walters’ amendment to close bass fishing on the Inland Waterway and Black Lake from May 1 until the third Saturday in June.

There is an area church that has started a sportsmen's night at the church. They have been doing it for a number of years now. They will have an agenda of speakers on a variety of outdoor topics. They will break after the first hour and all the kids that attend go and make something, ie. spinnerbaits, while the adults have coffee and chit chat. When the kids come back they continue with the speaker. They have tournaments in the summer, game dinners etc. Very well done. There is a bit of religion thrown in, but nothing is crammed down your throat. Again very well done. KVD has been coming for a seminar every other year. I think this is his third or fourth visit. Always interesting and he always has a different seminar. He is a very good speaker!! Being near Kalamazoo he also brought his boys and wife once or twice. He's going to be there again this next week, Dec. 5 at 7:00. Here's the website: http://sportspersonsclub.kcrc.org/

Very nice group of people there. Supportive and enthusiastic. They had me there for a seminar a while back, but KVD definitely trumps me.

I enjoyed it very much. I also like the ideas of getting more people involved in the outdoors instead of other, less positive activities.

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.
