Humminbird 798

Hi I have the 798 humminbird unit.  I have had it for a year now and in that year I have had the mount on the transome break 3 times.  today was the 3rd time and now my transducer is at the bottom of LSC.  I had Doug at North bay marina install it.  I am thinking it is not in the right spot. Is there anyone that can help me get this installed correctly so I don't lose another one.

If you know a place that installs humminbird transducers quite often that would be great.

  Not sure if you want to tackle installing yourself or not.  Maybe have a friend give you a hand.  Anyway I used products from this website..  www.transducershieldandsaver.com The products aren't cheap but I love them. Twice I had the trolling motor stuck on stumps this spring on Hamlin Lake to the point where I had a hard time getting it to release while pulling on the cord.  The Transducer for my HB 788, was snug as a bug.     Jeff
