Move went fine. The new server is much faster. Which is good!

I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

Yesterday at the Natural Resources Commission meeting in Lansing, science prevailed thanks to many, many persons who took the time to write in, and especially those who showed up to speak before the Commission on Commissioner Walters’ amendment to close bass fishing on the Inland Waterway and Black Lake from May 1 until the third Saturday in June.

Got my unit hooked up on the front of the boat I put the transducer on the trolling motor. Every time you step on the power button to move the motor the DI unit screen takes the bottom of the screen up to the top and also the depth readings bounce all over from the depth you were in to up to 70 feet or more and it just keeps bouncing around. You cannot see anything on the screen until you stop power to the trolling motor then it takes several seconds to get your pic back. I am wondering if it is turbulence from the trolling motor prop causing cavitation. If so how do I fix it?

Thanks
Bill

Sounds like electronic interference with your TM and electronics.  Are the TM and the sonar on the same battery?  If you have a separate starting & TM battery, put the sonar on the starting battery to separate them.

If you've already got the TM & sonar on separate batteries, then contact humminbird tech help to find an electronic method to stop your TM interference.

Do you have the power cable with the in-line choke?

Are you using the same battery for the TM and the HB?

Sounds like electrical noise for sure!

I basically had the same problem with mine a few years back. Here is a link to the humminbird site on electical interference with the trolling motor. It helped me out, hopefully it will you too.

When you are in any contest you should work as if there whereto the very last minute a chance to loose it.
