Prayer requests seem to be getting to be a habit on this site. I hope its not a trend. Well, its my turn again. Short story. Found a lump in my neck. Dads cancer started with a lump in his neck. I'm a little nervous. Tests next week. CT scan on Monday, biopsy later in the week. Please think nice things about me for a few days. Thanks

Prayers sent Mike...Don't let lumps and bumps scare you too much...Get them checked out for sure but I have had a few and they have always been fatty tumors....kind of like my belly.. ;D

With our family history it is always better to be safe than sorry though...Early detection is key to cancer survival...

Keep me informed

djkimmel

Odds are it is not a major health problem and we'll be praying that is the case.

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.

Well, I'm not giving you guys ALL the credit, but it couldnt have hurt. I have a stone of some kind in one of my saliva ducts. Its not a tumor. Supposed to be kinda painful to have taken care of, but its not terminal. I can deal with a little pain. Thanks again, all my good friends.

Good to hear Mike, I'll pray everything goes smooth and painless having it taken care of

In the words of Arnold Schwarzenegger "IT'S NOT A TUMOR!".  Prayer requests are a great trend that should become a habit......
Pray requests can be joyous as well - like the one below!

New prayer request and it's Thank God for taking care of our boy Mikey!

I go see the ENT specialist tomorrow morning. See if its surgery or not. Just want to get rid of this.

Praise God for the good news.  I had to have a lump removed from my neck a few years back.  It was in patient surgery and no big deal, I wish the same for you brother.

Our God is by far the best healer in the universe!

Glad everything went well for you Mike.  I had a bit of a scare myself this summer.  My doctor thought I may have pancreatic cancer.  After all the tests and other stuff that goes along with that, I was clear.  I have always tried to eat healthy, stay in shape, and lead a healthy life style.  But then when a doctor tells you what he or she suspects, that changes everything.  Leading a healthy lifestyle doesn't seem to matter when it comes to cancer.  I pray every day that others don't have to go through what I went through this past summer.  I was a nervous wreck.  Since that, I have changed my whole outlook on life and realize that a lot of the stuff that used to tweak me doesn't anymore.  Life is too short to really sweat the small stuff.  The older you get, the more you realize there are much bigger fish to fry............no pun intended or should I really say pun intended.   :P   The Big Guy upstairs has taken good care of my family and I am very thankful for that.  I have also tried to treat people better than I have in the past.  I have become much more tolerant of others when in the past I wasn't.  Instead of challenging them, I have decided to pray for them instead.  Life events do change you.  I know it's changed me.
