I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

OK I realize neither of these are on the market yet but has any body got any info about the humminbird DI unit vs the Lowrance DI unit. I know humminbird has had this technology out a bit longer than lowrance but is there that much difference in the units or is it just personal preference. What about tech support?

Thanks
Bill

Sorry, can't help you with the units, or the tech support, but I've read and heard enough about the Lowrance customer service to shy away from them.  Linda Colt was great in customer service , but she no longer works there.  She helped me out once on a transducer.  I hope this changes because I think Lowrance puts out comparable electronics but in a toss up I'd go with customer service.  Just my two cents worth.

One thing to consider is the Humminbird DI unit also gives you traditional 200kHz 2D sonar as well as DI, whereas the Lowrance DI unit only has DI.  Both are available with or without GPS.

any idea when these are coming out?
