Has anyone tried one of the Amazon Kindles yet?

I had a Kindle when they first game out. Loved it. The newer ones look even better - bigger screens and thinner. If a pure eReader is what you need, there isn't anything better than a Kindle.
I have an iPad now for other reasons and will read books on it too but it is heavy and not as good as the kindle. The Kindle will last for a week on a battery charge.

Thanks for the info. I'll add it to my wish list. Need to do some more reading on the specifics before I buy one down the road. Seems like there's a lot of flexibility in them too depending on which new model you buy.
