One of our members just made me aware that Zooker passed away this morning. I had heard some time ago he was doing better but he took a turn for the worse.

Very sad news. He was a very popular person on quite a few web sites and I thought it was very nice of him to take time to come over here and join, sharing some information about other waters and places most of us don't get to visit.

It's a measure of someone to have so many friends who will miss him.

Here is the link I was provided about him: http://www.bassfishin.com/bassfishingforums/showthread.php?t=24568

Enjoy your family, life and the outdoors as much as you can.

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.

so sad, i liked him.  i had talked with him on several forums over the years.  he was definatly one of the good guys.  R.I.P. Zook :'(

McCarter himself :-\'

He was a good friend and a great fisherman. I will miss talking to him. My last phone call to him sounded like he had a really rough time with this horrible disease but it sounded like recently he was making headway and getting better. Unfortunately as Dan said he took a quick turn for the worse and it got the better of him even though he put up a good fight. He will be missed.

so sorry to hear this. My deepest sympathies to his family and friends.

It has not been a good weekend in this dept - i saw on michigan-sportsman that oldjigger lost his son in a motorcycle accident on friday. I'm sure he could use our prayers as well.
