Well we just got thru a huge show here at the plant. Ford just made the announcement for the new hybrid car batteries here at Rawsonville plant. It was a 135 millon dollar investment to the state for 2 plants.  I think I might even make the channel 4 news tonight.... lol

The WHOOOOOLLLLLEEEEEE screen. lol

Don, where are they building those cars at? I hope they are not just making the batteries in Michigan, but building the vehicles also. I'm tired of seeing all the parts my plants build for Ford leaving the country. Everything we make anymore either goes to Canada, Brazil, India, or Mexico. We do have contracts with Louisville and Kansas City, but not for very much any more.

the new 5 car hybrid platform's will be built at Michigan Assembly (the old Michigan truck plant in Wayne Michigan) they have been retooling for quite some time. They are bring work back state side from Mexico and Japan.  The 2 plants- Vandyke plant get the trans axle job now being purchased in Japan and Rawsonville gets the battery packs now being produced in Mexico. these parts are current model and the new gen battery platform cars.    It's good news all around for everyone in the area... I have seen so many smaller shops going out of business it really sucks people need to be working.

I heard on the news today that they are also hiring. Things are slowly getting a little better.

Victory for the good guys!!

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.
