Everyone out there who owns Lowrance Electronics that come with covers be aware these are only for protection when the boat is parked. I was following a Skeeter today that had the cover on one of his units and the first thing I thought was it's going to fly off. Sure enough it went airborne!

I have found the soft covers from Cabela's stay on @ highway speeds...

I take my units off from my boat and stow them in Plastic shoe boxes when I am trailering....All mine are on Ram mounts...I spent over a year trying to get them working right, I don't want a rock, bird or whatever taking out one of them...

That is why the cover says right on it " Not to be used when trailering or running."

I also take all my electronics off while trailering.  Much safer that way.
