I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

My oldest son has decided to join our club.  Need to get him some tackle, I need all of mine!  I already have set him up for rods & Reels.  Any ideas on a basic starter type kit mainly for inland lakes.  Remember He/I am on a budget!

McCarter

Spinnerbaits, K&E Bass Stopper worms ( $0.99 ea ), some bullet sinkers and worm hooks, a few bags of rubber worms, a couple top waters, a couple rapalas, maybe a few bags of tubes if you guys are fishing LSC.

If he gets into it, he will find a way to make money to buy new stuff.  Fishing tackle has been my only incentive to work.  I got my first job on my 14th birthday so i could buy Quantum fishing reels and St Croix rods.  The zebco 33 Classic combo just wasnt cutting it any more.

Get him the basics and he will learn how to catch fish.  From there, he will want to experiment with new tackle so keep a good lock system on your tackle box.  Once he figures out that he cant have yours, he will work to buy his own.

Some of us are talking about getting together for a swap meet in Novi in another thread.  If we can pull this together, you could get tons of stuff for CHEAP and I'd bet even a few donated items.  Check out.. http://www.greatlakesbass.com/forum/index.php?topic=535.0

You can also get some stuff in those dollar bins at BPS.  Seems like they always have some stuff they're practically giving away.  Also, if you purchase anything from [REMOVED - see No Links Policy List] right now you can get a free lure sample pack.  It has 3 hardnose baits in it.  Lastly, if you join BASS at the moment you can get free line, a Frenzy crankbait, and a couple of Gulp baits.  Free is good.
