Move went fine. The new server is much faster. Which is good!

I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

Yesterday at the Natural Resources Commission meeting in Lansing, science prevailed thanks to many, many persons who took the time to write in, and especially those who showed up to speak before the Commission on Commissioner Walters’ amendment to close bass fishing on the Inland Waterway and Black Lake from May 1 until the third Saturday in June.

Got Fish??

Last year I asked? Was anyone else up set with the price of Yamamoto Sencos. I got alot of input for many other brands of baits. So I picked up some of every bait suggested. All the same color watermelonseed and greenpumken. I fished all of them, Here is my comparison. Most all were close in color. Some fell faster than others, not much faster. Vary few stayed on the hook longer than others.I got an average of thee fish per bait. Here's what seperates the baits. Exstreme, case, nemesis and yamamoto. Had cost the most and got fewer baits.Yum,basspro and cabelas, were half the price with two times as many baits in the bag. I know we all have our gotoo baits. All the baits above put fish in my boat.

i hardly ever throw a senko/stick worm anymore.. used to be my goto bait, but i feel there are better baits out there that will catch better fish.... maybe not more fish, but better ones. I've caught 4-5lb bass on them sure, but i don't see the point of removing 10" er after 10"er. I'd rather fish for 5 quality bites then sort through short fish.

The only time i throw any kind of stick bait these days is if i'm skipping docks.  I think the advantage of the brands mentioned is the color offerings which can play a key role in clear water - other than that, they will all catch fish - and thats really the beauty of the bait, anyone can catch fish on them.

I like em.  Mv favortie time to throw soft sticks is prespawn.  once the bass start moving onto the flats  in preperation to spawn its lights out.  They are looking for an easy meal and there is nothing easier than a 5" Nemesis Sicko whacky rigged.

I picked up some of the Strike King Ochos this year.  I am curious to see how they perform in comparison.  They are supposed to have a ton of salt, which means they probably won't last long.  However, the 8 flat sides should give them a unique action.  We'll see if they do as well as the others...

I was excited when the Ocho came out becuase i had a very similar idea for a stickbait design.  They had it on one of Kim Strickers Hook and Look episodes and they were doin some close up underwater video of it.  It didnt seem to have much, if any action.  It just fell in a U shape.  I didnt see any wiggle.  Maybe it was the angle they shot it from.  I will have to pick a pack up and see for myself.

Is the Ocho made of that real soft, stretch plastic? I would think that would really affect the action of the bait since it is so soft and stretchy? I would think stick worms need to be a little more firm than that plastic allows maybe?

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.

It isn't made up from the same plastic that the 3x and similar plastics are.  I guess they started with a pretty soft plastic and then added a ton of salt, and then added softener to that.  I am hoping that does not mean 1 fish per bait or it will be the only package I buy!
