I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

Hi all, I'm new here and already have a question. My brother and I want to spend a week at Long Lake in Presque Isle County. Could any of you tell me where we could stay that would be boat friendly and not cost to much. Planning on going the first week of June if we can find a nice place. Also any tips would be appreciated. Fishing for smallies. Thanks

Revtro

Welcome.  I can't answer your question, but I wanted to say "welcome" and enjoy the forums.  These are great folks here at GLB.

Thanks for signing up - probably get an answer or two to this after the weekend fishing/boat shows are over and everyone comes 'back.'

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.

I can't tell you where to stay, but... I've heard that Long Lake is one of the best kept secrets.
I've heard that as lake real estate prices go, that one's relatively inexpensive.  I would think then that rentals would be as well.

Welcome to the forum.
So much water.  So many lures.  So little time.

If your talking the Long Lake near Alpena and Grand Lake, try Alpena County park.  It is off of Long Lake Park Rd. off of US-23. Camping facilities and the boat ramp all in one.  Begining of June should be great!  There are some small cabins a couple miles north of the park, but I forget the name.  Fish on and around any of the rocky reefs and you should catch something.

Thanks for the warm welcome.
