I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

Well, I'm almost a little hesitant to start this thread because I have a feeling it's not gonna happen...but here it goes:

Our next event is scheduled to be an overnight 2 day event on Saginaw Bay.  I think we screwed up this year by not collecting deposits for this event back in April.  So my gut feeling is that most aren't gonna be able to make it.

Is this correct guys?  Please let us know ASAP if you want to go.

In the event that guys can't go, should we schedule the event to be a Saturday local event instead?  Maybe another St. Clair or how about Erie for something different?  Just a couple of thoughts.

I'm up for Saginaw Bay if we can get participation.  I'm not trying to change our plans.  My gut just tells me we'll probably not get the attendance because we didn't get deposits and we have no plans yet on where to launch or stay.

Eric offered up a place to camp, but I don't know if it's near where we'd want to fish. We'd need some input from someone who knows the bay and can direct us to where we may want to go.

Just some thoughts to start chewing on fellas.

I've said from the beginning that I wouldn't make it to the over nighter on Saginaw.

However, if we wanted to schedule another local/semi local event on one of those days I'm open for that.

So much water.  So many lures.  So little time.

We need a back up plan if it blows though -

The BFL super tourney is on the same days 9/27-28 out of Eliz. park.

I could fish on Sunday providing I do not make the cut on Sat.  ::)

Hey Jack,
We picked Thursday and Friday at the meeting because of the BFL.  That's what our schedule shows.  I wonder if it's a mistake.

I'd be game for a Saturday event.  Either back to LSC or Erie would be OK too.  Never fished Erie.  Fiker and I keep agreeing thet we'd both like to be able to get to LSC just once more this season.

Rev, my schedule shows Thursday and Friday.  Would have to take a personal day to make a weekday happen. :-\'

PS...the trout is FABU!!  sauteed' with a little garlic oil and then brushed with fresh homemade pesto and dill.   Thanks again for that great trip!

Dropshot

I would be in for a Saturday event.

My schedule also shows it being on Thursday and Friday, (25th & 26th) for Saginaw Bay.

I really don't want to travel to Saginaw Bay with all the expense involved but would be willing to do something more local either Thursday, Friday or Saturday. I'm already doing a tournament on Sunday.

Does anyone know of any good inland lakes to fish?

Mark

I forgot about this one until this post came up. I think I have a tournament either Saturday or Sunday, I will have to check. On the other day I would like to do something.
If you are looking for other inland lakes, Kent might be coming around by that time. I will be out there quite often and keep tabs on it. Woodland has also been on fire this year, but it is quite a drive from the far east side. I will also try to find out about any of the Oakland County lakes of I can.

I'm out for anything during the week and my Sundays belong to the Lord but I'm always up for a good Saturday on the water.

Revtro

Yep, it's starting to shake out about how I suspected.

Should we just skip it and go with the Oct. 4 event already scheduled for the Lower Det. River/Erie?  I'm not sure how tough the fishing's gonna be at that time.  We could use St. Clair as our backup if it looks like the wind's gonna blow that day?

How about we try to have a decision by week's end?  I'd hate to end up right on top of the event and not have a decision made.  I'll put up a poll.
