Hey guys! Haven't been on in a while but Bender got me to join up again. I've really had a question thats been nagging at me, so I need to ask.

When your idling around an area, and you mark structure, even if you don't know what exactly it is, will you still fish it? For example, here is a picture I took of my unit this spring. I'm not really sure of what it is, but I am wondering if it is worth fishing or not. I'm assuming it's standing timber, although this lake was impounded 30 or so years ago.

So.... Would you fish it or not?  ???

I think thedude is right.  Looks like scattered weeds.  Unless you were moving pretty fast, any timber that small and tall would have likely rotted away in thirty years.

In early spring, I might run a crankbait around and see what kind of weeds they are for future reference.  The weedbeds may also fill in later in the year and become more productive.  Otherwise, I probably wouldn't stop to fish unless I started marking fish or bait on the graph.

Thanks for the quick answers, guys! Much appreciated....

About that lake though.... The name of it is Lake Hudson, although it is located just outside of Clayton, MI. Bender and I have fished it in the early, early spring, to no avail, although my father did pull an 8-lber. out of there in April. Nastiest water you'd ever see, but she's full of bass!

Thanks again,

Thanks for the answers guys, but I have a few more pics I need help reading. I believe the first is a school of bait, but I'm not sure.

And the second... Well... I won't even try.  :o
