I was watching the Bluegrass Brawl final today and saw where McClelland has a new smokeless tobacco sponsor. He pitched it as he weighed in. What do you think about anglers pitching tobacco or alchohol products while the next guy preaches take a kid fishing. I know sponsorship is important, but how much are you willing to sell yourself for? I wonder what I'd do if big money came calling with a product I'm not thrilled about. I think I know but.... Should an ESPN Disney Company be out front with tobacco products?

It ultimately comes down to your own personal morales and values.  Sure the money is great and one needs to put food on his table.  But do your risk your own values.

Do you remember the movie "Indecent Proposal"?  Would you really trash whats important to you for money?

They are both legal products to be used by adults.  If he said, "share this product with your kids while taking them fishing" there is a problem.  But there is nothing wrong with representing a legal product and advertising it to the adults that can legally purchase and use the product.

I don't believe that kids can to be sheltered from stuff to keep them safe (especially not these days with the trash on TV and the internet).  Parents need to teach them right or wrong, not hide them from any possible wrong.

Tobacco products were forced out of motorsports years ago..IE: Winston cup and the Camel Supercross series....Now the major sponsors are energy drinks...I don't know what is worse..
I guess it gets to the point where do you draw the line....I don't know about BASS but I know FLW does not allow any use of tobacco products while standing in the weigh in line so why allow them to be advertised....???  I can see both sides to this issue and have seen it evolve in MX racing......I also remember when we used to get packs and packs of Redman Chew in Operation Bass....Along with Armour viennas....Ohhh!! those where the good ol' days...

I'm surprised no one has brought up Cialis  :D  Explain that one to a kid...
