Took the wife out fishing out of Port Austin Saturday morning.  Ran up to Grindstone thinking it would be great fishing.  Only caught one smallie.  Worked our way back to Port Austin and picked up a few more.  Ended up finding a few beds with fish on them but they were pretty spookish.  Caught a few more around break wall.  Ended up with about 10 fish, 2 that were just over 3 pounds.  Very Slow day out there but the weather was beautiful.  Water was 56-57 degrees.  I have always heard the fish are in there pretty thick this time of year but I did  not see that many.  I wonder if they are late or if they have already been there and moved back out.

Would love to make a trip up there.  Its 130 miles but a 3-3.5 hour drive for me because of the roads and traffic.   some day I will get there.

FrickerDude

Let me know when you make the trip dartag

Pick a nice weather day and it can be real interesting out there!

Yep she fished about 2 hours, read her book for a few hours and even took an hour and a half nap!  She enjoyed not having the kids sayin Maaaaaa, Maaaaaa for the time we were gone
