Inland Waterway Bass Fishing Closure Defeated

Yesterday at the Natural Resources Commission meeting in Lansing, science prevailed thanks to many, many persons who took the time to write in, and especially those who showed up to speak before the Commission on Commissioner Walters’ amendment to close bass fishing on the Inland Waterway and Black Lake from May 1 until the third Saturday in June.

Just before the October Natural Resources Committee meeting on Thursday, October 9, Commissioner John Walters added an amendment to Fisheries Order 206 – “Bass - Closed bass CIR season from May 1 – Friday before the third Saturday in June for Burt, Mullet, Crooked, Pickerel, and Black Lakes and their connecting waters.”

If you are having trouble logging in because the forum says your password is wrong, you can do a couple different things (I don't want you not being able to log on - you're missing all the fun!):

1) Click the Login button on the top button bar. Then click the Forgot your password? link to be able to use the Password reminder to enter either your username or the email address you registered with to either have a link emailed to you by email that when you click on it, you'll go to the forum to reset your password; or check the 'Ask me my question' button to have the forum ask your secret question. If you answer that correctly, you'll be able to reset your password on the forum without going to your email account. Some people have trouble getting the automated email through their host.

2) Email for support at greatlakesbass.com and/or use the feedback form to let me know and I can reset it temporarily to something new (I do NOT know anyone's forum password) so you can login and change it in your profile. Please allow me up to a day or so to respond.

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.
