ROUGH Weekend

Despite the forecast, I decided to head up to Traverse for the weekend. Looking back on it, that was probably a mistake.

The weather did not cooperate and made fishing very tough. Saturday, I attempted to get on West Bay, but the wind was simply out of control. Salvaged Saturday with an Arbutis trip, it was even rough there.

Sunday I was able to get on East for about 2 hours in the morning. I caught a couple 2lbers around some rock and weeds on a spinnerbait before the wind and rain drove me off again. After a cup of coffee at my Aunts house I headed back out to Bowers Harbor after it calmed down. Caught a couple more 2lbers on a spinnerbait up there, but then the weather really got bad. There was legitimate 3-4 footers closer to town. Peoples docks were straight up getting destroyed! Not a great fishing weekend, but I made the most of it. I suppose that's what you get in Northern Michigan past August.

Hoping to get up one more time before the end of the year.
