I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

Livewell question.... auto mode??

I recently bought a 1988 Pro 17 Tracker and it has an aerated livewell. There is a button on the dash that reads Auto - Off - Manual. Off is just that... manual turns on the pump to fill the well. Auto does nothing. There is a turn knob next to the switch that reads Time Control and has a min and max. As I understand it this knob should be tied in with the "auto" setting on the switch, turning the pump on at timed intervals. But it does NOTHING when in auto... with the knob in the min or max setting. Is this a common issue? Can I fix it?

Even though the livewell stays at the same level with the pump on all the time (it self bails), I really don't want it running all the time! It's a bit noisy and bugs me and I'm sure the fish can hear it too.

Any suggestions?

Just as you stated that Timer should be tied in with the auto setting on your livewell..Could be a bad timer or a wire disconnected.  You should be able to buy a new timer pretty cheap.  Does the Livewell work at all in auto?? If not I guess the On-Off-Auto switch could be bad in the auto setting also.  The livewell does run in On so I don't think it is a fuse.

Sounds like a bad timer pot (adjustable switch).  They're cheap and easy to replace.  Also, check to see if there is an inline fuse for the timer.  Also, turn it to auto and wait.  It may have to wait for a complete timer cycle to turn on.  Maybe there is just a delay and it'll turn on after a minute or two.
