Move went fine. The new server is much faster. Which is good!

I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

Does anyone know the difference between a Humminbird 898 and 899 both si hd, etc?

Manxfishing

Seems there's a few

Here are the main two differences:
The new 899ci HD SI come with an internal antenna and un-officially better processors than the 898ci HD SI
It also comes with bit of a face lift, new style keypad and new style card reader door
The 898ci HD SI uses an external GPS antenna which give a better performance over the internal

And the new 899ci HD SI now only comes with the XNT 9 SI 180 T transducer only capable of 455 kHZ in Side Imaging, although the 899ci HD SI is capable of doing 455 & 800 kHZ in order to get High Definition Side Imaging you would have to replace the transducer with an XHS 9 HDSI 180 T to get it
(the 898 comes with the 455 & 800 kHZ transducer)

I just bought the 898 and the 859 for my boat updating some old transferred units from my other boat....Got both of them shipped to home for $1512.00....I do not dare mention the place I got them from but I saved 2 or 300 hundred bucks compairing apples to apples from one place to another ....
Fishing a tournament this Sunday and I would think they will not help me yet as the shallow spawn bit is in full swing for me but then again I could be wrong..

If a member of The Bass Federation aka TBF the real Federation there is a promotion direct. ;) Believe me it's a deal deal ;) Just put twin 1199's on new boat cheaper than much smaller units on best internet price. Saved over $800 on binded 1199's. Did add twin GPS ext ant. build in's don't work in dash mount ;)plus quicker and dead bang instead of close. Internal was to same money.
