I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

Does anyone know what the condition of the River is?

WishingIwasfishing

I was down there today from noon till 4:30, mostly to take my new boat out just to check it out.
We fished for about 2.5 hours. Didn't catch anything, also everyone we talked to got skunked also, one guy said he fished the river yesterday and went out into the lake looking for them today with no luck. No ice.

Hope that helps

BIGSHOW

Where did you put in? I was down by elizebeth park and its not open. There was broken up ice all over by there (by the shore). But that was yesterday.

Put in at LEMP, no ice and all the docks were in. That should all change as soon as St. Clair breaks up.

Got Fish??

Where's LEMP? Once StClair breaks up, there is no way you will find me on the Detriot river until all the ice floats through.

Lake Erie Metro Park, and I am done till ice is gone. Looks like it started coming down today,

My old partner use to break ice with his 390 on Gun Lake to be the 1st out every year..

Maybe next spring we can break ice legally for bass, and not worry if we're fishing walleye or crappie that we'll be considered guilty by bass boat. I've broke ice a few times though for awhile now only in the fall / winter.

Breaking ice isn't the greatest for the boat but no breaking 'icebergs' for me! Too many stories of people launching in the morning only to come back and find the entrance to the boat ramp blocked by icebergs also! We'll be able to get our boats out soon for something. No sense in becoming the next Titanic...

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.
