Anyone in Lansing have a digital SLR I could borrow for a week

Late, shot in the dark - but I was thinking about how my fine for Internet overall camera is a little slow and does not have the capability of bigger, faster, clearer shots of a true SLR.

I have been told I'm spending Wednesday in the boat with Aaron Martens - one of the two building consensus 'most likely to win' the Lake Guntersville Bassmaster Classic (along with our buddy KVD). If that holds up - meaning I end up going out with him - he is a fast talker and can move pretty fast at times too. I have a sinking feeling my regular digital camera is going to have a hard time keeping up with the Amart... that would be an embarrassing shame, especially if he finally lets the genie out of the bottle (not our Genie, his genie)!

I'm leaving Tuesday morning so it's a dumb time to ask, but what the heck - nothing ventured, nothing gained. I should have thought of this weeks ago, but I didn't. Darnitall. Worse comes to worse, I'll just ask Amart to practice at 'half speed,' like the high school coaches would say during football practice. Yeah, that's what I'll do... ;D

I won't be back until the Classic is over. I'm attending conservation director meetings for chunks of Friday, Saturday and Sunday but will be working through the Expo and the weigh in shows to get some additional media to share with all of you back home... in the deep snow... as time allows. I'm going to go for more sleep than the last time I went to the Classic, that's for sure. I'll do what I can.

Jeff Nedwick will be there too. He's riding with Jonathon VanDam on Wednesday. Good thing! Because the lake is 75 miles from town and Danny boy needs a ride to the boat ramp!! :D

That reminds me... I need to get a LOT more batteries for my digital voice recorder!!!!!! If you've ever spent any time around Amart... you'll know what I'm 'talking' about!!!

I wonder if there's a way to plug a usb drive into a digital voice recorder?!? I think I'm going to need more space!! I wonder if a digital voice recorder can overheat and burst into flames?!? I'm going to have to keep the video camera ready for that! Just in case...
