Yesterday at the Natural Resources Commission meeting in Lansing, science prevailed thanks to many, many persons who took the time to write in, and especially those who showed up to speak before the Commission on Commissioner Walters’ amendment to close bass fishing on the Inland Waterway and Black Lake from May 1 until the third Saturday in June.

Just before the October Natural Resources Committee meeting on Thursday, October 9, Commissioner John Walters added an amendment to Fisheries Order 206 – “Bass - Closed bass CIR season from May 1 – Friday before the third Saturday in June for Burt, Mullet, Crooked, Pickerel, and Black Lakes and their connecting waters.”

I apologize for missing these posts for a few weeks. I really didnt think many people looked for them :)

Here are the results for Thursday 8/1:

9 boats paid and we paid ONE spot

1st Place - Maniaci Eisenmenger  13.77lbs

Big Bass - Cunningham Hyry  3.99lbs



Results for Thursday 8/8:

Again 9 paid entries and ONE spot paid out

1st Place - Maniaci Eisenmenger 15.28lbs

Big Bass - Ray Glover 4.72lbs

Our next event is this Thursday 8/15/13

REMEMBER - No event will take place the week of the BASS Elite event on St Clair. Go see the weigh-in at ST Clair Metropark. I will be there.

You know the first (or second) question people always ask, starting about 1 hour after the weigh in of just about every tournament, what were the results?!? :D

Hope the weights keep going up. I'm seeing more pictures of bigger bass from St. Clair and hearing more reports from people catching them too even though Erie is favored right now.

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.
