I had my steering cable in my motorguide replaced last year and now the pedal is opposite of what it used to be.... Meaning when I heel down it turns right, ect... Also, when I want to go straight ahead the pedal isn't parralel to the water anymore, it has to be angled either way to go straight.

I'm wondering if there is a motorguide tech around here or is this something that I can fix myself..

Any tips would be appreciated... Thanks guys!

Frank

there are 2 cables, they are backwords.  switch them either under the pedal or on the top sid of the motor head

That would drive me crazy! Probably for a long time... I still have the old stiff cable system. Hopefully switching the push/pull wires is an easy thing to do because that makes sense that is all that happened. Maybe the people who did the install would fix it since it is a little odd??

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.

That is an easy fix.  Pull the plastic cover off the head.  pull the gear that has both of the cables to it and swap the cables around.  The hardest part is getting the pedal centered.  Or if you are near Grand Rapids let me know I could help you out.

That's good to hear and a generous offer. Thanks!
