Alec Made It!!!

I should have chimed in on this before when I found out back around the beginning of October, but I got a lot of stuff happening and haven't posted much.  My son Alec made the final Region 2 Olympic Development Soccer Player Pool representing the State of Michigan for the next year.  Region 2 is made up from the states of Illinois, Iowa, Wisconsin, Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, North Dakota, and South Dakota.  The pool is made up of 30 boys.  What does this mean?? You may be asking............ Well, it means that if the U.S. Olympic Committee wants to enter a Regional Team in a National or International Event, they will pick it from a pool of players.  Alec is a part of that pool until October 2014.  After that, he has to tryout again.  He will be trying out again in 2014.  He dreams of representing his country in the World Cup as well as the Olympics someday.  I will say he is focused.  My wife and I are very proud of him and we do appreciate all the support some of you have given to us here on GLB.  And for that, I thank you all. 

Oh and by the way, DK, he said he would like to work at the Ultimate Fishing Show in January and said he would sign free autographs for fishing and soccer fans alike for all members of GLBass.com......      We can use that to sign up new GLB members.

Yeah, it's pretty awesome. Hey Fiker, Angelo has seen Alec play and will tell you Alec's pretty exciting to watch. Both you guys ought to come out and watch sometime. Pretty exciting. These kids are good.
