Move went fine. The new server is much faster. Which is good!

I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

Yesterday at the Natural Resources Commission meeting in Lansing, science prevailed thanks to many, many persons who took the time to write in, and especially those who showed up to speak before the Commission on Commissioner Walters’ amendment to close bass fishing on the Inland Waterway and Black Lake from May 1 until the third Saturday in June.

Went down early to the Heritage launch site to find you can't drive in. Went around in the dark to the launch which is just around the corner on Western. If you plan on coming down, parking is an issue. There is some along 7th St., and some pay lots. They take off at the Harthorn Marina and then motor over to the launch area. Pros are not very accessible like they are at other events. The docks at Heritage are 6 feet down.
Weather was great, launch went well. Have a bunch of video and pics. Stayed around and watch Swindle boat two on topwater next to the launch site. Paliniuk stayed in the area as well. Also saw Hank Cherry, John Crews, Keith Combs. Combs had five early. Paliniuk was stuck on 0. Cherry also had zippo. Saw Combs catch one on a jerkbait he was throwing down walls. Saw Crews boat one that kept, but couldn't tell what he was using.
By the way, I saw Brian Tagg a Tear Drop basser and a Fed Nation Club member Marshaling with Keith Combs. He's in the pic below.
Spent 45 min. talking with Chad Pipkens, who was there for sponsor work. What a nice guy!  Have to run busy day today.

Here's a link to a short morning video I shot this morning:

Here's another short video of the take off Day 1.

Here's some video of Gerald Swindle. Some guy blathers on and on while I'm video taping but it's not too distracting. G hooks up with a nice one at about 7 mins in.

I have forgotten to ask about parking. I ended up doing outside work Wednesday and Thursday elsewhere so I will find out what I can tomorrow morning and post any helpful information on location.

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.
