2013 Bass Pro Shops KVD Charity Classic Fans Fun this Monday

Detroit Lions fans and pro bass tournament fans both have a great opportunity to see and mingle with their favorite sports stars up close during the dinner weigh-in this Monday, June 10 at Kensington Metropark's Kent Lake, site of the 2013 Bass Pro Shops KVD Charity Classic fishing tournament! Watch the football and fishing pros in action as they compete against each other in a relaxed summer event.

• Dinner and Weigh-in festivities run from 4:00 PM - 6:30 PM
• TICKETS: $100 – available exclusively at DetroitLions.com
  *kids 12 and under are free with a ticket purchase*
• Strolling buffet dinner with your favorite players and anglers.
• Detroit Lions players tentatively scheduled to participate: Nate Burleson, Nick Fairley, Shaun Hill, Brandon Pettigrew, Riley Rieff, Tony Scheffler, Stephen Tulloch & Willie Young amongst many more!
• Bassmaster Elite anglers scheduled to participate: Casey Ashley, Davy Hite, Aaron Martens, Chad Pipkens, Marty Robinson, Terry Scroggins, Kim Stricker, Kevin VanDam, Jonathon VanDam and Mark Zona plus many more!
• Famously entertaining weigh-in hosted by Voice of the Lions Dan Miller and Pro Angler, Facts of Fishing host and Bassmaster Classic emcee, Dave Mercer!

Come on down and rub elbows with Detroit Lions players and Bassmaster Elite Series anglers. There will be a full field of 28 boats including many local bass tournament experts, many who are members of GreatLakesBass.com. Speaking of GreatLakesBass.com, we'll be there too capturing some of the action so we can share this great charity bass fishing tournament with everyone!

This is a great, great event to demonstrate how much good we can do with a little bit of our time and effort, with cooperation and participation from the Detroit Lions and the Huron-Clinton Metroparks! Thanks to Michigan's Kevin VanDam for getting this going last year. Not only did they raise a bunch of money for some important causes, they helped make sure we got our first Bassmaster Elite Series event this year on Lake St. Clair, followed by a 2nd event on Muskegon and White Lakes!!

If you're a fishing and/or an NFL football fan, you don't want to miss this event! You'll be on the 'field' during the weigh-in dinner with Lions and Elite anglers! Literally rubbing elbows. Plus, there's some awesome prizes being auctioned off for true fans!

Take the day off! Get out of work early! Call in sick! Ok... maybe not that last one. But this is a fun day you don't want to miss! I've already talked to some GreatLakesBass.com advertisers and members who are planning on being there for the festivities.

With everything else going on, it's easy to forget there's a tournament too. Can fishstick defend his 2012 title?!? Or will KVD's team drop the winning catch on the table this year (that's right, all the pro anglers catches get to count too this year, not just the donating sponsors and Detroit Lions players)!! I know I'll be watching.
