Yesterday at the Natural Resources Commission meeting in Lansing, science prevailed thanks to many, many persons who took the time to write in, and especially those who showed up to speak before the Commission on Commissioner Walters’ amendment to close bass fishing on the Inland Waterway and Black Lake from May 1 until the third Saturday in June.

Just before the October Natural Resources Committee meeting on Thursday, October 9, Commissioner John Walters added an amendment to Fisheries Order 206 – “Bass - Closed bass CIR season from May 1 – Friday before the third Saturday in June for Burt, Mullet, Crooked, Pickerel, and Black Lakes and their connecting waters.”

I got my conformation letter in the mail on Friday. I am all set as a Co-Angler for this event. Did anybody else get in??

Fishon, that is awesome.  I had my dates screwed up so I missed the Ranger early entry day.  I registered the next day and I havn't recieved conformation yet.  Do you own a Ranger so you can register a day early??  I hope I didn't miss it beacuase of my mistake.  :-\'

Friend of mine get in as a coangler also and recieved his letter. He was able to sign up on Ranger priority entry and theres no doubt that it helped.

I do not own a ranger. I am a proud stratos owner and was able to register on the 2nd day. I dont know how far down on the list I was, but I am glad that I made it.

I am #51. I just entered a couple days ago and they told me there was 50. I thought there would be more. Since I live a half hour from the ramp I figured maybe I can get in last minute.
