Yesterday at the Natural Resources Commission meeting in Lansing, science prevailed thanks to many, many persons who took the time to write in, and especially those who showed up to speak before the Commission on Commissioner Walters’ amendment to close bass fishing on the Inland Waterway and Black Lake from May 1 until the third Saturday in June.

Just before the October Natural Resources Committee meeting on Thursday, October 9, Commissioner John Walters added an amendment to Fisheries Order 206 – “Bass - Closed bass CIR season from May 1 – Friday before the third Saturday in June for Burt, Mullet, Crooked, Pickerel, and Black Lakes and their connecting waters.”

working the friday show

well i can now say that i got to work the fishing show and it was a great experience.my nerves were peaked out before the show, not knowing anyone walking in blind. ounce i found the booth got situated and then other glb members started showing up.each time i met a new member my nerves were calming down.by the end of the show i was feeling very comfortable.i would like to thank dan for allowing me to work and to all the members that i meet thank you for making me feel welcomed.i will for sure be signing up next year to work.ounce again thank you.

It was great having you there to help, Todd. Hope we see you at the spring open. I didn't even notice your nerves. lol

I think I was the same way my first show but now it is fun and a great chance to meet up with everyone (besides helping Dan out)

thanks again, working sunday was great much more relaxed. i cant get over how many different people you get to meet from suppliers to anglers and  pros like zona stopping in at the booth before his show to say hi.i have some great lines on new local tackle companies.i will be signing up for the next go around of shows for sure.

I thought you were one cool customer... nerves not even noticeable.

It was fun having the Z-Train in the booth for a little while!! Ramps up the energy level!! ;D

KVD was moving too fast to get him to stop at 10 foot booth but he made sure to say hello every time he walked by and did say some really nice things about GreatLakesBass.com during his Q&A seminar and I sure do appreciate that a lot!!

More than anything, I appreciate everyone's help during the entire show!! All of you really made it the easiest Ultimate Fishing Show ever!

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.
