I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

I guess I've been lucky all these yrs as I have never had to have a prop repaired. I have some very small dings in my Raker II 3 blade prop. Since I have packed my boat away for the season I thought I would get them fixed. I would appreciate some suggestions on where to send it for repair. I am located in mid michigan and would prefer to do business in the state.
        Thanks,
                 Mark

There are some great sponsors of GLB that repair props. I go to Matteson Marine. You can go to any marine place though.

Bring it to any West Marine store.  They use Henry Smith in Algonac, MI to do their repairs.
Addicted to fishing.  All the time, any species, anywhere!!  Especially in West Michigan!!!

I would like to give Waterfoul a big Thanks for recommending Henry Smith prop repair. After looking over their website I contacted them about fixing my dings along with making additional adjustments to the pitch and cupping on my prop for maximum performance.
I would like to also Thank Dan Kimmel for the GLB website. Having this website is a much appreciated benefit for all of us.
Happy Thanksgiving to all!!!!

Got my prop back from Henry Smith yesterday. It's looks better than the day it came with the boat. Very reasonable price as well. Again a big thanks to Waterfoul. I should come over to the west side & take you fishing to your favorite lake next fall. It would also help me learn about those west side lakes.

I dropped off 2 props there tuesday. Very nice people to deal with.

How much does it usually cost for repair of light nicks and scratches in a stainless prop?

Ditto...How much did the prop tweaking set you back?

I have a 3 blade stainless steel prop. They had to do $15.00 in welding on top of the base $160.00 repair so my total was $175.00 plus $9.00 ship cost each way. It looks brand new. Considering the cost of a new one I am very happy.

bigjc

That does sound pretty reasonable.

Got 2 props back from Henry Smith today.  Both look like brand new. I dropped them off last Tuesday , 176.00 each.  Put them back in the box and will see them again in 5 months :'( :'(
