Noreen Clough Retires from BASS

A BASS official said today that Noreen Clough, the organization's conservation director since 2004, has retired. Today was her final day in the position.

"We appreciate all the work Noreen has done with BASS, and we wish her well in her retirement," said director of communications Jamie Wilkinson.

She was appointed to the BASS position by then-VP and GM Dean Kessel in February 2004, replacing the retired Bob Shupp. She'd previously been the southeast regional director for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and concluded a 30-year career with the federal government in 1997.

She directed the BASS Conservation Program, which supports the conservation activities of members and Federation Nation chapters.

Wilkinson said BASS is actively searching for her replacement.

A tireless champion of the conservation community will be retiring this month. Noreen Clough, the Conservation Director for BASS/ESPN Outdoors and a co-chair of the TRCP Freshwater Fisheries Working Group, has announced that she will be retiring in mid-September. Clough will be greatly missed by all of us at the TRCP. "Noreen is the picture of professionalism, competence and dedication," said TRCP President and CEO Matthew B. Connolly Jr. "The TRCP has been strengthened by her expertise, and those of us who have been fortunate enough to work alongside her will miss her greatly.
