Any place you guys recommend?  A few guys with boats.  Prefer to be by the east bay since we plan on fishing Skegemog if the water gets up.   Thanks for any advice.  Paul

A good friend of mine owns the fairfield inn. it's off the water but only like 5 minutes to the bay and 15 minutes or so to skeg, you can also walk to la senoritas :)

He's a fisherman and a good guy - let him know what you're bringing and he'll take care of you. The outdoor electrical is a bit limited, but if you bring a splitter, you could plug in 4 boats or so.  ask for fritz and tell 'em dude sent you.

Sounds like Door Co.  It's $40 a night to camp up there.

Almost all of the shoreling hotels on the east bay have overflow parking but plugging in your boat will be a pain.  It is hard to beat beaching your boat on the beach in front of your hotel though.

Not trying to hijack this thread but we called this week to book our yearly stay at the Beach Resort for the fourth of July.  Did not book it just yet... I dont mind paying $350+ to stay.  It is pretty nice and all.  But a 4 NIGHT MINIMUM!!!!!!! :o :o :o :o :o

If the Fairfield is full you may just want think about staying in Interlochen at the State Park..........$19 or $20 a night with plenty of electrical and all the amenities a Camping facility could ever think of.

From our campsite it was a 35 minute drive to the launch that we used on the West Bay which included a 5 or 6 minute stop at the Traverse City Gander.  Puts you right on Green & Duck as well; phenomenal lakes for both species.....

If you are fishing Skegemog, and are considering camping, Whitewater Campground is very nice and has a ramp onto Elk. Where the ramp is on Elk you look straight across at the entrance, by water to Skegemog. It's also just minutes from landings, ie. Elk Rapids on East Bay.

Thanks bro, I will do that.  Last two times there, lodging was outrageous.
