I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

Your Pain, Their Gain: How High Gas Prices Impoverish The Many While Enriching The Few

by Dan Froomkin

The next time you're gritting your teeth as you fill your tank with $4 gas, here's something to consider: Your pain is their gain.

The last of the Big Five oil companies announced first-quarter earnings Friday, so the totals are in. Between the five of them, ExxonMobil, BP, Shell, Chevron, and ConocoPhillips made $34 billion in profits in the first three months of 2011 -- up 42 percent from a year ago.

Even though prices seem to presently becoming down, gas is still high.  If it hits 5 or 6 dollars a gallon, I'll be selling the boat to put gas in the truck so I can still get to work.  I'll probably have trouble selling the boat because of the gas prices.  I will probably have to sell it to a single guy with no kids and no responsibilities who has a good job and maybe still lives at home with his folks.  Anyone who knows anyone that fits that description, send them my way when gas prices get over 5 dollars a gallon.

Still about a dollar higher than last year I heard. It was supposed to start going down around Memorial weekend and move lower all summer. Apparently someone in the industry needed a new house or something and delayed that! ;D

i figured it was a bigger boat so they would use more gas to help keep the prices up. ;D ;D
