Move went fine. The new server is much faster. Which is good!

I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

Yesterday at the Natural Resources Commission meeting in Lansing, science prevailed thanks to many, many persons who took the time to write in, and especially those who showed up to speak before the Commission on Commissioner Walters’ amendment to close bass fishing on the Inland Waterway and Black Lake from May 1 until the third Saturday in June.

my dad, brother, and I are going to st clair in the morning.  we are not tournament fishing, just fun fishing and I convinced my dad he would catch a bunch.  all catch and release.  any help would be much appreciated.

also, i'm more familiar with erie and houghton, but is a 5mph east wind bad news of erie?  we have a 17.5ft procraft so its not the best big water boat.

thanks for any help

Skulley

Usually a 5mph wind on Erie isn't too bad and it isn't too bad on St. Clair either.  It's when it starts getting up around 15 to 20 mph when it starts to build and get nasty.  Fishing the mile roads should be pretty decent.  I would stay out around 8 to 12 feet but don't not check out shallower because you just never know.  Good luck and let us know how you do.  Regular bass season starts tomorrow on St. Clair, Detroit River, and St. Clair River in Michigan waters so you will be out there fishing with a rather large tournament going out of Harley Ensign.

it was really flat, and we could see into the water really well.  we caught 58 smallies and almost none were under 2 lbs.  the largest being in the 3's.  can't be disappointed about that.

we did the best shallow, 9 and less.  tubes were the deal.  the lighter melon colors were the best.  venoms 'avocado' color was the best.  it got bit 2:1 than all the others.

Outstanding!!  World's best smallmouth fishing......bar none!!   ;)
