Yesterday at the Natural Resources Commission meeting in Lansing, science prevailed thanks to many, many persons who took the time to write in, and especially those who showed up to speak before the Commission on Commissioner Walters’ amendment to close bass fishing on the Inland Waterway and Black Lake from May 1 until the third Saturday in June.

I had this passed on to me today.  Please pray for Mark and the family as they go through this very difficult time.

From Jim,
All,

I just got word that mark Semple's father, Larry, passed away yesterday.

The Semple's are well known to everyone here at NBAA.  Mark's parents have been great supporters, travelling wherever Mark fished tournaments- northern Michigan, Ohio, Indiana and more.  This is a great loss for Mark and his entire family.  I have attached the obituary, which includes funeral arrangements, for everyone's information.  Please pass this on to anyone else that I may have missed here.  Unfortunately, Jack has just left for vacation and he has a more extensive contact list.

Please pass on your condolences to Mark and his family.  The fishing
community has been a big part of their life and I know it would mean a lot to hear from everyone.

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.
