Have you tried sending out a group email to everyone in your system to let them know about your new board? I'm sure many aren't aware of the changes you have made.

Bass Fishing Tips, Techniques & General Discussion / No Round Lake, Bring on the Ul...
Last post by djkimmel - December 30, 2023, 12:04:02 PMIn desperation, I drove out to Round Lake the other day... hoping for open water, even if muddy and cold. No such luck... Only about 10-15% of the lake out from the boat ramp is open. The rest is covered by very slushy looking ice as far across as I can see from the boat ramp.
All the spot's I'd want to fish are covered, and not enough ice for ice fishing, of course. So, I guess it's "Bring on the Ultimate Fishing Show!" since I can at least talk about fishing.
The only seminar I have is the Ultimate Bass Clinic on Saturday. Better than nothing anyway.
I'll be in Booth 3054 when I'm not out visiting other booths for some exercise. That's in the front, right part of the building. I'll be next door to Wayne Carpenter and Xtreme Bass Tackle. You should be able to find me - I have a larger, new sign for this year that should stick out better!
Come find me. Tell me some fishing stories!

Last post by djkimmel - December 30, 2023, 11:52:21 AMI've weighed a sack of sugar before. I tried weighing the same thing multiple times, and sometimes later in the day. Seems pretty consistent. It definitely feels like it will last a lot longer than previous devices I've gone through.
There's another major scale out there a lot of the pros use, but they are all ~$140-50 and up, mostly closer to $200. That would be okay if I was still fishing tournaments, but not just 'serious' fun fishing.
I was thinking of all the reviews I saw from people talking about plastic clips breaking. Thought it would be helpful to point out a unit that doesn't use that kind of clip. The Bubba might be aluminum maybe. Not sure, but it's not thin plastic.

I'm thinking maybe May 11 without checking many things yet. Post on here. If I can get 9-10 boats I would host it barring any big surprises.

Last post by Bigbass201 - December 30, 2023, 01:05:26 AMIt looks like a good Christmas present to me. I usually go to a grocery store and buy various weights of fruits and compare them with the scale when I get home. The ones in the grocery store are supposed to be calibrated.

Last post by djkimmel - December 29, 2023, 03:11:29 PMIt appears that the rechargeable battery pack comes with the ~$200 Pro model, but usually does not come with the new regular model, but it's probably worth the $20. I'd put a link up for the one I ordered from Amazon, but it's not available at the moment. If you do buy it, make sure you buy the one for the scales and not the many different batteries they have for their electric knives. They sell lots of those.
