I already sent out an email to everyone who was a member of The Bass Boys this year but here is notice to them and everyone else - it's time now to sign up for The Bass Boys and TBF of Michigan for 2017!
I do not know the 2017 state championship location or date yet but should know sometime during the Ultimate Fishing Show when I expect we will have a presidents' meeting. The good news is that this year's National Semi-final should be in Michigan also sometime in October probably though that needs to be set too. This is the new format where we just fish against the Ohio TBF state team for a shot at advancing to the Nationals.
Dues have remained $75 which saves you $10 on FLW Outdoors membership ($35 instead of $45). FYI: We are having another MDNR Fisheries Division meeting at the Ultimate Fishing Show on Friday, January 13 at 6:30pm hosted by TBF of Michigan. Everyone is welcome at that meeting.
Any decision on what lake the championship will be on this year.

Probably not. Was hoping it was somewhere else than St Clair. I heard that was the tentative location.
My vote is (not that I have one) Belleville !! the best lake in Wayne county...

Sadly I will be in Florida. Missed it the last couple years since we don't get home until about March 10. Will probably be salt water fishing that day. Hope all have a fun day.
Dave is waiting for confirmation from FLW on using their weigh in equipment but tentatively the State Championship is set for Sunday, July 16 out of Harley Ensign BAS on Lake St. Clair.
It is an open tournament this year with a 70% payback at the event. 20% will go towards the state team. Only TBF of Michigan members can move on to the National Semi-final.
The National Semi-final you qualify for is also this year September 9-10 out of Elizabeth Park on the Detroit River (Michigan waters only for this event).
I'll be out of town that weekend, seems like I can never make this work.
