I'll have to start making a list
Looking at the seminars
I'd love to hear what Mark Romanack has to say about Walleye fishing
The actual 2012 schedule and speakers aren't set yet but I'm sure Mark Romanack will be there. I'll make an announcement as soon as I see things being set.
GreatLakesBass.com will be there again though I will miss most of the show myself. I'll be lost in the Amazon somewhere!!
I'll be glad to help out in the booth again Dan.
MMM Aligator jerky, toasted almonds and Rebas fudge. Also some fishing stuff. at least it will get me off the couch.
Don't forget the turkey te... things either ;D
I will have a helper sign up going soon. Probably about the time I figure out how I'm going to get everything running and keeping it running while ending up in Brazil?!? Thanks fiker!

Dan,
I'll help any way that I can as well
Let us know if there's any thing special that you need
Thank you very much. Just going to have to come up with a 'crew' boss for that show. I'll figure something out.
Count me in as well Dan
Thanks LAPORTE! I will need the help. Should be a BIG show again!
I'm in Dan. Any time any day.
You guys are GREAT!! Thank you!
You already know Veronica and I will be there. We love to help.
Yes you do. I may wear some padding though since I called her cute ;D
Ok lets wake this post up a little. I just took the week off for the show. Who's going to be there? I always like seeing everyone at the shows. Any of you westsiders gonna brave the eastside? I'm getting excited already. Veronica and I will be at the Crown Plaza again. If any of you bring kids, shes always looking for swimming buddies.
Where is the volunteer sign-up sheet/post/thread?
We'll probably put together a group to hit the show on Saturday. Can probably spend a few hours in the booth of you need Dan.
Thanks for reminding me too Mike. I'm behind on this a little. Have had my head down in some websites. I'll post up a volunteer request schedule very soon.
I may have thursday availability to help. I can always offer any stuff youre missing, and prizes too.
Mike,
Hotel saturday? Maybe ill join you there for a few hours after. Makenzie loves the pool.
Ill be there early saturday too, I have to watch brandon win bobbing for trout again
Nobody say a word. LOL
What word Mike? Bob? or how about holdyourbreath (hey, that's one word if you say it fast enough)
Is it really that time already??? :o
Yup
it is officially still summer until i put my boat away. I was out last Sunday, therefore... still summer. Though I do have to admit, it is quite strange that we get snow in the summer.
Frank
LOTS of snow! Heavy, wet snow! Ice soon to follow.
i should be able to lend a hand on thursday and friday if needed. i work 10min from there so i can be there around 5:15ish
Thanks guys
This weekend, I'll put up the 'official' info but I will pass on for now that Mikesmiph has had the 'great fortune' to be volunteered for the Ultimate Fishing Show 'crew boss' spot. I have to leave for Brazil on that Friday, not the best timing to be leaving at the beginning of the biggest fishing show in Michigan, but that's the way the peacock crumbles...
So thanks again for helping me out of some unfortunate scheduling Mike! I'll get the volunteer schedule to Mike once it is done and work it out so show helpers can contact him with questions and any emergency changes.
I stand in your shadow, oh great leader. My humble self is honored to walk a mile in your shoes. te he he.
You're a funny guy too... I was planning on posting the volunteer needs and times today but I found something in my Ultimate Fishing Show packet that is new and not explained so I'm going to hold off until Monday when I can find out what it means first before I start making decisions and figuring out volunteer needs. I should get a reply Monday and then I can start doing my thing.
Count me in on that list too, but man oh man, I've always wanted to go Peacock Bass fishing in Brazil. I traveled there once a few years ago with some none fishing people . The sights, food and w___n are something else. I remember an invite a while back from Dan too. How much does that cost?
About $6,500 for 6 to 6 1/2 days of fishing depending on when you buy plane tickets. It's worth every penny every minute! I'll put up the UFS volunteer's list tonight and try to remember to add you to it. Times will be up so you can also state what times are best for you. Thanks.
KVD has been to the Amazon too! He also says it's worth it! We were talking about it at the UFS in 2012 right before I went the first time and I got so excited I could hardly sleep until I left!!!

Forgot about all the others of you who volunteered on this thread. Sorry about that. I've been 'off' a little more than usual the last week and a half. I'll fix things up if you are still willing to help. Thanks!
I"m good but can also be flexible with other time should someone need to change.
I can do anytime Thursday, Friday afternoon or evening, any time Saturday, but not Sunday morning. Gotta go to church.
That's helpful to know. I'll make sure Mike knows that in case of last minute changes. Thanks Rick!

For sucking up this much you must eat the turkey nuggets..
I agree. I've had my pants legs turned up for days!
Veronica thought it was funny. lol
To all GLB members,
I have a limited number of passes left for the Ultimate Fishing Show this upcoming weekend, so please email me if you need any. First come basis. As always, I just ask that you stop in to the booth and say hi.
Hope to see you all there,
Thanks Ralph. Getting very close now.
Could I get two Ralph?
Do you have 2 left for the wife and I?
Better email him. This is a busy week for boat dealers.
The boats were filling up the parking lot today. They are busy moving them over for the show.
Thanks Dan. Yes, please email me or stop by the store through Wednesday. Will be at the show Thursday on.
Met the great Dan Kimmel and...
He is shorter than I imagined.
I also met the great Dan, Mike, and huston. Great guys...but i thought that they would be more handsome. just kidding. It was nice to meet you and a little shout out to Kustom Kicker Jigs, check out their new swim-jig head...it's pretty sweet.
Anyone coming to the show who either isn't helping, or needs more tickets for family/friends. Member Bigmojet, just gave me 2 tickets to the show to give away. Let me know. First come, first serve. 810-394-1820
Is anyone else dissappointed in this years show? Seems like there were more booths non related to fishing than normal. Between Lower Back pain, jerky, and a few other booths, seemed like a waste of time. We ended up walking out after one walk through and headed to BassPro. It just seemed there was so much more a couple of years ago with much better deals.
The only reason worth going to fishing shows anymore from a bass anglers perspective is to hang with your fishing buddies. The seminars are all the same if you been around awhile your not hearing anything new, the deals I mean what deals online is still the way to go and the bass vendors seem to be dwindling every year.
Great meeting everyone tonight.
Yep going to see some buds is about the only reason to go to the show. Also to help Dan out. I know the vendors pay quite a price to have a booth so the prices are above what you can get at the big stores or online. I stopped at the Lowrance display 3 times Firday afternoon to look at the new HDS7 Gen 2 but the guys there really didn't know anything about it.
Could see KVD's show from the booth but it was hard to hear him. Did watch him sign autographs for about 2 hours after. The guy is a class act.
Got to give the guy who runs the show credit. He gets great crowds and can sell a beer for $ 6.00 so he must be doing something right.
