I live near Ortonville Mi. and would like to get my 3 older model baitcasting reels tuned up. After looking in the yellow pages I have not found any place to take them yet. They basically need cleaned and oiled/greased. Any suggestions?
Thanks
Mike

You need to talk to Reel_Man.  He can take care of for them for you.  I sent him several reels of my own and he is cleaning and repairing them as I type.  Check him out or he should find his way to your post.

Thanks CY.

This is REEL MAN, I'm in northeast Indiana (where there is NO bass season) ;D ;D  I work out of The Angler in Helmer, IN. I'll PM you with details.

I just had 8 reels cleaned and serviced by REEL_MAN and he did a great job. They are all smooth as silk now. His prices are right and he turned them around quickly. I already got em spooled up and ready to hit the water!

Peace.
It does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble or hard work. It means to be in the midst of those things and still be calm in your heart.

I empatically concur!! The Reel Man is the only place to go with your reels. He has just finished 5 of my reels. I have been looking long and hard for someone with his expertise.

Thanks Guys. I have four reels going to Reel Man early in the week.

You won't regret it.  I just had him fix a spinning real and it came back perfect.  He did the work quickly and correctly.

REEL_MAN is good....i taught him everything he knows!!!   :P   ;D   :o   ::)

Of course, if anyone does not know, he used to be an Engineer for Zebco/Quantum and holds several patents in the fishing reel industry.

I worked at the Angler in sales and rod/reel repair when I was in college, and after I graduated, Dad filled my position (part time) at the Angler.  He has a pretty impressive client list, and works on many of the top pro's reels.  He also does a beautiful job with rod repair if that is needed.

If you guys in the Detroit area need something simple like a bail spring or something and don't want to wait, I do have quite a few parts at my home in Wixom and I can help you out....however I don't want to get back in the business of major repairs or cleanings.  I just don't have the time right now.

Yeah, I'm more interested in just sending them out and having them checked out and maintained.
Mainly my Quantum PT tours and Catylists. (I think they're Catylists?)
