As you probably have read on some of my earlier posts, I had the good fortune of fishing my way south with Don Fowler, BASS Michigan Federation Champion, as he headed to Toho for the National Championship. As a fishing groupie I couldn't fish on Toho, so the next best thing was to get hooked up as an observer on a boat each day, which I did. I put together an hour long DVD of the trip and would also like a copy of the program that Bassmaster's is going to do this Saturday. Zona and Tommy Sanders will have the Nationals as their feature for their hour program at 9:00 am on ESPN2. I don't have anything that I can tape this with. If someone wouldn't mind taping, recording on DVD, or whatever, I'd really appreciate it. I would swap you for a copy of the DVD I put together if you wanted or would definitely pay for the tape and postage, whatever you wanted to work out.
I should get a little incidental footage because I was in the boat with the Day 1 leader on Day 2. We had three camera boats follow us for 4 hours. I really tried to stay out of the shots as best I could, because it wasn't my show. It was Sheron "Big Show" Brown's spotlight. He did a great job on camera in the boat, and should get some stage time as well. Third day he buried a hook deep in his hand, and he still had it in his hand as he showed off a good bass on stage. If you want TV time in those events it certainly pays to have rehearsed what you might be saying on camera and to be a bit flamboyant. Those that did got a lot more camera time. Sponsors like that.
If you're interested in seeing what the Nationals are like from start to finish, from check in to the final banquet, I have the iMovie DVD I made. Some of the guys already have a copy: Blake, CFruel, TCook, SethV, Paul Sacks, etc. so if you know them you can get it from them or let me know and maybe we can get a copy to you. I am also in the process of putting the pictures I have from the 2006 State Championship, and the Northern Divisional to have a sequence of the process from State Championship to the Nationals. I would have liked to have made the trek to Hartwell, but it looks like I'll be watching the TV coverage. Make time to enjoy your day.

Thanks,
Dan
