Best Boat Bumpers?

I have a buddy that is going south and staying at a resort and the lady recommended he bring boat bumpers if he was going to tie up at her dock. What do you guys like in terms of boat bumpers to fend off from docks when tied up?

Depends on what type of boat and what he has available to tie something off to.

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.

When I head down to Dale Hollow, I always bring all of my bumpers - you never know what or how your going to tie up. Also remember that you can always use a life vest or throw if you need extra. Bring extra rope to tie up.
It's nice to have a few that you permanently leave up each night. It usually takes some time to get the right length and position, so leaving them right where they fit it nice. This saves some time each time you return to the houseboat or where ever your tying up a night.

I HIGHLY reccomend that you do NOT use a PFD as a boat fender.  If you rip the cover or break the floatation foam inside, it will no longer be considered useable by the Coasties or your local law enforcement officers.  Get yourself a good set of fenders.  I sell a number of different types if you are in the area.  Or you can visit any of our stores throughout the state.

What's with the news these days on the TV and the radio. Can't find the truth amongst the lies. Some talking head that claims to live their life in a better way, says I have to compromise. But now there's something on the rise. Truth has opened up my eyes. There's no running from your dirty lies. You can't avoid the truth. I'll no longer close my eyes.

My buddy has a bass cat Jag. Someone told him that there are some pretty good inflatable bumpers. Anybody ever use them?

Waterfoul

I have a little experience with the inflatables.  At the dock they will be just fine.  If you are in rough water trying to raft off with other boats... or in any rough water I'd rather have the standard Taylor Made fenders, they are just tougher.

Oh, and I can get the inflatable ones too.   ;D

My buddy just bought a used Basscat Jag. He's a Michigander, but has been living in Texas for the last few years. He commutes up north to fish the Tear Drop events with his son. They plan on going down to Mountain Home for the Owners Invitational. He'll be here for a few days at the end of March. I'll recommend, if he has time, to run out to West Marine for fenders.
