Michigan’s best fishing boat deals are at the Ultimate Fishing Show—Detroit, January 13 to 16

Anderson Boat Sales in Waterford will present Alumacraft’s line of fishing boats, including the nationally advertised 165 Classic with custom paint, galvanized trailer, trolling motor, depth finder and choice of a 50 hp Yamaha or Mercury motor. Alumacraft is also expected to offer rebates to $1,400 on select models. The dealer will present sport and fishing boats with walk-through windshields, deluxe side-console and tiller-steering, bench-seating V boats, and modified Vs for bass fishing. The exhibit includes Misty Harbor and Lansing-built Manitou pontoons.
Hot Deal: The 165 ready-to-fish Alumacraft Classic package, which normally costs more than $16,000, is offered for only $12,795.
Angler’s Marine/Prop & Sail in Taylor unveils the new Lund 1775 Impact single- console and dual-console-with-windshield models featuring livewell seating and center rod lockers. The wraps also come off the new 18-foot Alaskan and 16-foot Fury models.
Hot Deal: Lund 1775 Impact with Shorelander trailer and 90 hp Mercury for under $20,000.
Bee’s Sports in St. Johns unwraps 25 new Lund fishing boats and pontoons for fishing and cruising. Lund fishing packages from 16 feet to the company’s flagship bass boat—the 21-foot Model 2150 Baron—will be on display. Pontoon packages start at $12,995 and include Bennington, Berkshire, Crest, Sylvan and Sunchaser models.
Hot deal: a 14-foot Lund 1475 Rebel SS (side console) with 25 hp Yamaha, Shorelander trailer and Hummingbird fish finder for $10,495.
Chapman’s Sport Center in Lapeer is bringing more than 20 new Lund and Starcraft fishing boats. New Lund models include the 17-foot side-console Impact and Fury in 14 and 16 feet. The mix includes the new Starcraft 16-foot tiller Freedom as well as Fishmaster models to 19 feet. Look for Lund promotions such as $1,000 rebate on some models and free covers for Rebel series boats.
Hot Deal: A 16-foot Lund Fury with 25 hp Mercury and trailer for $7,895.
Freeway Sports Center in Fenton plans to display about 20 fishing boats, including the new line of XL all-welded modified V, utility fishing boats from 14 to 18 feet and several new Polar Kraft Outlander utility, deep V models from 16 to 20 feet. Tricked-out Gillgetter Outfitter pontoons from 15 to 20 feet and starting under $10,000 are in the mix, along with a Gator Trax boat, motor and trailer for $9,500.
Hot Deal: 15-foot War Eagle duck hunting/fishing boat with aluminum-tread floor and Yamaha 25 hp motor and trailer for $6,995.
Grand Pointe Marina in Lansing is bringing a small armada of 16- to 19-foot Tracker aluminum fishing boats and 18- to 20-foot Nitro tournament bass boats, including the Nitro Z8 that Kevin VanDam will fish from on Lake Ultimate. The dealer also presents three models of Suntracker pontoons in 18 and 20 feet, including one package with 20 hp Mercury for $10,500.
Hot Deal: a 16-foot Tracker with 20 hp Mercury outboard, electric trolling motor, fish finder and trailer for $8,500.
Look for these and other deals at Novi January 13 to 16. If there was ever a time to buy a boat for fishing, that time is now.
