Selfridge boat launch now open with improvements
The Michigan Department of Natural Resources today announced that the Selfridge boat launch on Lake St. Clair (Macomb County) has reopened following construction that began May 18.

Public open house on proposed acquisition of property on Eagle Lake for boating access site set for May 30
The Michigan Department of Natural Resources (MDNR) will conduct a public open house to gather input on the proposed acquisition of property on Eagle Lake in Cass County for development of a boating access site. The open house will be held on Thursday, May 30 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Our Lady of the Lake Church Social Hall, located at 24832 U.S. 12 in Edwardsburg, Michigan.

LAINGSBURG — Tim Machowicz envisioned improved boating access on Lake Ovid in Sleepy Hollow State Park five years ago — and it is now a reality.
The Lake Ovid boating access site began closing intermittently Thursday and will continue to do so through June 30 for site redevelopment and paving improvements at Sleepy Hollow State Park, 7835 E. Price Road in Laingsburg.
Machowicz, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment Park Supervisor at Sleepy Hollow, said this will be a great benefit to the public and those who use the boat launch on a regular basis. Read Complete Article on The Argus Press

West Unit New Boat Ramp Ready

The Michigan Department of Natural Resources today announced the new boat launch at Tomahawk Creek Flooding State Forest Campground's West Unit has reopened for use. The newly upgraded campground adjacent to this launch will reopen next spring, at the beginning of the 2010 camping season. The campground is located in the southwest corner of Presque Isle County, 13 miles north of Atlanta off of M-33.
