This seems to be the year for really big Great Lakes bass with several 7 pound smallies being caught by GreatLakesBass.com members and friends so far. Steve Clapper, being the Great Lakes smallmouth bass expert that he is, sent this picture of his biggest Lake Erie smallmouth bass to date - a HUGE 7 pound 13 ounce trophy that is still swimming out there somewhere. Maybe to be caught again when it weighs 9 pounds!!

Sorry, but I wasn't fishing with Steve at
the time and all he had with them was a
phone camera, but it's a BIG smallie no doubt!!

Here's another toad football smallmouth bass Steve Clapper was fortunate to catch. Another trophy!!

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.

Wow what a beast!  :o Steve was just missing a professional camera man like I had with Jeff.
FISH HARD!!!

Yeah... I think I'm going to make him take me fishing so I can bring all my cameras. Then all I have to do is cross my fingers that we catch some toads!! I'll get more of the story then about the big bass he's caught and what else he's been up to. Every time I talk to him I learn really cool and amazing things about the Great Lakes!
